To everything there is a season...Life-Long is going through "the change."
Thank you to everyone who has participated for all of the support through the years. After nine years of operation as a health literacy and advocacy organization for midlife working women, we are taking time to review, renew and rededicate our activities. Our central goal remains the same: healthy aging for African American women. During this break in direct services we'll examine lessons learned over the past decade and how to make the most effective and efficient use of resources to address our goal as we go forward. The first step in this process was to suspend the monthly meeting until further notice. The second step was to separate from Community Partners as our fiscal sponsor, effective June 30, 2011. We remain housed at the Center for LifeLong Learners in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. The third step is the evaluation process. If you would like to participate as we refocus our energies and resources, please get in touch to learn how you can be involved in reshaping the organization at this important crossroads.
